FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is a trip like?

A Medical Mercy trip can be described as a life-changing experience. You will see places that you may never have an opportunity to see again. Nowhere else can you combine travel, adventure and an experience of the Ministry of compassion all at the same time.

Our teams are like a family that bonds closely during the mission. We join together to provide much-needed care to very needy people. Through this experience our eyes are opened to the desperation of others, and it is thought to be a truly life-changing experience. It gives us a sense of humility, and a realization of how vulnerable we can be ourselves.

Medical mercy works closely with local missionaries, and project leaders in the countries to which we travel. Team members are exposed to and learn a great deal from foreign cultures.

All Medical Mercy trips are planned with detailed travel arrangements to make sure that team safety and comfort is a priority. We make our trips as affordable as possible with team members responsible for supporting themselves for the outreach trip. We orient everyone regarding expectations in all phases of the trip on cultural issues and customs. We provide in-country training throughout the trip. We provide everyone participating with a detailed schedule and itinerary so that all are aware of what we will be doing and where we will be going.

In addition to the medical ministry experience we schedule time as much as possible to see some of the country and experience the local culture.
